I've applied for a position. How long does it typical take to hear back from a medical facility?

If a medical facility is actively searching for new physicians, they tend to get back to qualified candidates rather quickly (within a week or two). Although, this depends on a number of factors such as when the job starts, whether it is a permanent, temporary or locum tenens position and more. If you haven't heard back from an employee in two weeks or more, follow up with a phone call or e-mail reassuring that you're still interested in the position they have listed.
