Job Description As a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, you will provide compassionate care to patients facing chronic, complex, and life-threatening conditions. Here are the key responsibilities: * Patient Assessment and Management: * Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs. * Develop individualized care plans to address symptom management, pain control, and overall well-being. * Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations. * Order routine and diagnostic studies as needed. * Collaboration: * Work closely with a diverse team, including case workers, chaplains, and hospitalists. * Facilitate communication and coordination among team members to ensure holistic patient care. * Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. * Education and Support: * Provide disease and treatment education to patients and their families. * Offer emotional support, counseling, and guidance during difficult times. * Assist patients in making informed decisions about their care. * Hours and Compensation: * This position operates during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. * Compensation is calculated based on your experience and qualifications. Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Palliative Medicine in Irvine, CA - AYA LOCUMS HAS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A 13-WEEK LOCUM PALLIATIVE CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER JOB IN IRVINE, CA PAYING $85/HR - $100/HR. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Conduct physical exams, diagnose illnesses and develop patient care plans. * Prescribe medication and perform therapeutic interventions. * Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care. * Provide patient education on health promotion and disease prevention. * Maintain patient medical records and document care provided. * Provide routine follow-up care and monitoring of chronic conditions. * Administer diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and interpret test results. * Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
