There is a need in New York for an anesthesiologist who is cardiac experienced starting as soon as credentialed for locum tenens coverage. The schedule is 7am-4:30pm Monday through Friday with some cardiac call (2-3 times per week). The locum will see all types of cases including general OR, trauma, transplant and neuro. The facility is performing about 500 cases per year and it continues to increase. The types of cardiac cases consist of coronary surgery, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), aortic valve surgery, aortic stenosis, aortic insufficiency (regurgitation), atrial fibrillation and aortic aneurysm. The types of valves used for replacement include mitral valve surgery, mitral stenosis, mitral insufficiency (regurgitation) and mitral valve repair. Physician will oversee residents and CRNA as well as work independently (depends on day and staffing).
