Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - General Surgery - $85 to $115 per hour in North Carolina - Nurse Practitioner needed in North Carolina for Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage. Must be Board Certified, have current DEA, and NC state license. Shifts will be Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm plus 1:4 call requirement. First assist, post-op care with ICU management, and clinic. Patient population is adults/geriatrics. Must be comfortable with Saphenous vein harvest (open and endoscopic) and tube thoracostomy, management of ventilators and critically ill patients, and placement of central lines, arterial lines (femoral, radial), Swan-Ganz catheters, and chest tubes. Must have in-depth knowledge of and experience in titrating inotropic and pressor medications. Support staff includes 3 surgeons, 4 PAs.
